About The Position:

RLTs, commonly referred to as behavior technicians, ABA therapist, or techs, provide essential services by working 1:1 with toddlers and children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities in our office. RLTs receive extensive training and continue to receive supervision and training throughout their time at Spectrum of Possibilities by a behavior analyst. As a line technician under the supervision of a behavior analyst, you will use Applied Behavior Analysis procedures and tactics to teach important skills to children with autism 1:1 by collecting data on their response towards their goals and by collaborating with the behavior analyst to ensure the child is making progress towards their goals. Skill areas focused on during the day include: communication, imitation (copying others), social, play, self-help and school readiness.

This is an entry level position, and does not require any previous experience. However, the position does require a high school diploma/GED, and the ability to pass a background check. All training needed is paid and provided in our office. This position may be a great opportunity for individuals with experience in the following: babysitter, camp counselor, daycare worker, or paraprofessional. However, no experience is required.   

Requirements / Job Duties:

- Must have availability Monday-Friday 7:30am - 3:15 pm
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to pass a federal background check
- Read goal cover sheets that provides instructions on how to teach the goal
- Collect data on the learners response towards each goal
- Read and implement learners behavior plan 
- Manage learners behaviors based upon behavior plan 
- Respond appropriately and apply feedback given during supervision sessions from your behavior analyst 
- Communicate effectively both written and verbally with members on the learners team (behavior analyst, techs, and learners family) 
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with learners, co-workers and supervisors
- Change diapers and/or toilet training 
- Maintain learner confidentiality 
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment 
- Attend all mandatory scheduled trainings / meetings (this may be later than 3:15, but is scheduled in advance)
